i ordered the katsu chicken and teri beef. The chicken was delicious the beef was so bad. it was cold, hard, dry. I split the plate with my coworker because it is $18.50 a plate. She hated it so much. She agreed with me when I said it was just 2 steps away from being beef jerky. I think they cooked it like 2 hours ago in anticipation for the lunch rush. I'm never going to eat at any of these location again because the pub and eatery is the same. The truth is we are throwing a party for a cowrker and her favorite food is Hawaiian. we were sampling homestyle's food for a big catering order. We placed the order with LL instead.

I came here for the first time while I was visiting back home. The food was really good. The only thing I'll say is that they did not have a restroom. You'll have to go across the street to 711 but the service was nice and the prices weren't bad.

Korean here. please don’t call this Korean chicken. This was just dry fried chicken and nothing more. The chicken itself was so dry and rubbery that I had to chew forever, and the sauce you gave me was basically ketchup. A ketchup sauce. Maybe try using an actual Korean fried chicken sauce at least? Or don’t make the chicken so dry like rubber. I honestly feel like I wasted my money. The mahi mahi was good, but this so-called Korean chicken was absurd. How dare you call this Korean chicken lol Just because you deep fried chicken doesn’t make it Korean chicken ?

HIDDEN GEM!!! It’s small so it can get packed pretty fast. The food was really good and the portion to value is unmatched.

I recently picked up takeout from Homestyle Hawaiian, and I have to say, this place is an absolute gem in San Diego! We had so much food that we were able to enjoy it later, and it was just as delicious the second time around. The flavors were spot on, and every dish was satisfying and full of taste. The service was also outstanding. The two staff members working up front were incredibly respectful and provided excellent customer service, making the whole experience even better. We drove over an hour for an appointment nearby, and choosing Homestyle Hawaiian for takeout was the best decision we could have made. No disappointment hereβ€”just amazing food and great service. This place is definitely one of San Diego’s best-kept secrets, and we’ll absolutely be back!
